I think I’ve finally found my eyeliner! I mentioned before that smudgy eyeliners were forcing me into using anti wrinkle face cream a lot earlier than I thought I’d need to, so I went in search of one that wouldn’t cause so many problems. On my first try, I picked up two to try out and got lucky on the first one!
L’Oréal’s Infallible® Never Fail Eyeliner is it! And clearly I’m not the only one who thinks so because I’ve had to learn to pick it up well before I run out because it’s always sold out!
It’s a creamy pencil eyeliner so it goes on smoothly. The other end has a smudger– I don’t normally need one but I tried it once just so I could include that in my review and it worked perfectly, and a sharpener. My application process doesn’t leave me needing a perfectly sharpened tip, but if I did, it’s really handy to have right in the tip.
The only undesirable smudging I get is for a few minutes after when any residual liner I’ve gotten on the tips of my eyelashes deposits itself, but that’s user application error ;) Otherwise I’ve been checking often and haven’t gotten any sort of smearing or smudging and it absolutely lasts!
I’m completely sold. It runs around $7 at most stores, I’ve seen it as high as $10 and it lasts about a good month, I’d say. I haven’t really been keeping track of that. It’s more than I used to spend on liner, but it’s definitely worth it if I can break the habit of rubbing under my eyes to remove smears.
So if you’re in the market for a new liner, give this one a shot– if you can find it!
